Gippsland Line Upgrade Project

Project Period: 2021 - ongoing

VicConnect Alliance, a consortium comprising UGL Limited, Decmil and Arup, has been selected to carry out the design and build works on Australia’s Gippsland Line Upgrade railway project. This project will allow for extra services during the peaks between Traralgon and Melbourne as trains will have more time to pass each other. This is due to:

• duplication of track
• extension of the Morwell crossing loop
• building second platforms at four stations.
